The Clean Water Project

The Clean Water Project's aim is to address the rural water problem and equip communities with lasting access to clean water and sanitation services – for Everyone, Forever.

Ajit Foundation is partnering with local government bodies and organizations, providing the support they need to bring clean water and sanitation systems to their own communities. Then we ensure they have the resources they need to maintain those systems now and in the future. The local government provides the setup and Ajit Foundation installs the water purifier system. structure. The local entrepreneur takes responsibility to maintain and the local family gets clean water for a lifetime.

Ajit Foundation installed a water purifier unit at Gadegaon Village in Barshi Dist- Solapur. The cost of establishing one drinking water unit is around Rs. 2.25 lakh. Through this Gadegaon was covered benefitting 600 beneficiaries. This program is being run on a pilot basis and planning is done to scale up in the villages facing similar problems. At the same time, efforts are being made to provide clean drinking water to school children by installing a water purifire unit in government schools as well.
